I seem to have a fall back type of digital art right now…figurative paintings. Kinda painted, kinda collaged, kinda vintage and hopefully telling a bit of a story. I’m doing these as the seasons change here in the Pacific Northwest. From mostly sunny to mostly rainy. With occasional days I can get out and actually enjoy a walk or something similar. I love the work of Kate Morgan and Corine Ko – figurative painters that make scenes that have a lot of little details that bring up stories, or questions about the scene. Obviously not as good as they are at storytelling, but I have all winter to practice.

And some thoughts about finding story in your life

But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do –
determined to save
the only life you could save.
